EVENTS: GIVE SOME (MORE) LOVE ON MOTHER'S DAY

WE'VE GOT LOTS OF IDEAS TO SPOIL MUM WITH CRUELTY FREE BEASTS OR A DOWNLOADABLE VOUCHER...
BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND TO ENSURE MUM HAS A  BEAUTIFUL DAY + FEELS THE LOVE.
HERE ARE A FEW IDEAS WE CAME UP WITH TO SPOIL HER, SANS CASH...

FOR THOSE ALREADY IN ISO WITH MUM:

    1. GO for the tried and true breakfast in bed - pick a flower or some lush greenery from the garden, dig out the good napkins and make it special.  if you're planning a No Meat (and Dairy!) May, give this vegan tofu scramble a try - super simple + tasty.

    2. Pick a movie or TV show you know she loves and watch it together - no scrolling on your phone allowed.  Bonus points if you let her pick the show.

    3. Ask her questions about her own childhood, or about her favourite and least favourite parts of being a mother.  Being a curious + attentive listener is a fabulous gift.

    4. Get involved in her hobbies - if she likes to garden, don the gloves and get stuck in with her.  Or maybe do a puzzle, bike ride or online yoga session together.

FOR THOSE SEPARATED FROM THEIR MOTHER DURING LOCKDOWN, YOU CAN STILL CELEBRATE:

    1. Go through family pics and send mum a collection of your favourite photos of her - it will spark recollections + conversations of times past, and will keep that feeling of connection strong even when you can’t be together.

    2. Write her a card or letter - take the time to write down a special memory, a lesson learned, or something specific about your mum that you’re grateful for.  Heartfelt + genuine words are always welcomed.

    3. Record yourself wishing Mum a great day by singing, dancing or playing an instrument  - it could be a favourite song of hers, or just the chance to be silly and make her laugh.

    4. Setup a Zoom call or Facetime - nothing beats face to face, even if it’s online, so grab a coffee, share a virtual meal or raise a glass + just spend some quality time together.

    5. Share a list of places to visit together when lockdown is lifted  - dreaming + planning cost nothing, and having something to look forward to is great for our mental health.  Check out Lonely Planet to start making your 2021 plans.

The most important thing is to show up - whether it’s IRL, on the phone or online – and show some extra love to your Mum.

    Happy Mother’s Day Beautiful Beasts!
