HI! I’M RHI, MARKETING CO-ORDINATOR + NEWEST MEMBER OF SANS BEAST HQ. HAVING JUST JOINED THE TEAM, ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PARTS OF MY ROLE, APART FROM BEING SURROUNDED BY SANS BEAST BEAUTIES EVERYDAY (BOTH THE REST OF THE TEAM + THE BAGS) HAS BEEN IMMERSING MYSELF INTO THE WIDE WORLD OF VEGAN FASHION, BEAUTY + FOOD.
So for anyone else beginning their journey into plant based living or simply wanting to make a kinder choice on the planet, I’ve rounded up 5 of my fave vegan brands:
Like Sans Beast, Unreal Fur was launched in Melbourne + also like Sans Beast Unreal Fur is committed to creating the look sans the creature. The brand has a cult following + their high quality faux fur jackets + coats will add more than a touch of bougie to your fave winter look.
What started as a collection of faux fur coats has now expanded to bridal, a mini me collection + even a bag collab with your fave vegan handbag label (that's us...sadly, all sold out, but it was memorable).
Unreal Fur International Sales and Export Manager Neomi Amit has also recently started her own podcast called Unreal Times. It’s a really good jumping off point for anyone wanting to learn about cruelty free fashion or how fashion industry insiders + animal welfare organisations are growing + adapting in a COVID-19 world.
Unreal Fur have also just launched their first collection of puffer jackets. Check out my favourite - the Major Tom.

Did you know that Mecca’s in house make-up + skincare brand Mecca Max is 100% vegan + cruelty free? This Mecca addict certainly didn’t until she started deep diving into the world of vegan beauty. The team changed up their range after listening to continuous feedback from their customers asking for a vegan line + at the end of the day isn’t listening and adapting what it’s all about?
My fave Mecca Max picks:
Selfie Skin 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer: Twice the product for half the price. Apply lightly for daytime wear, a little more for a full glam look + then dot on any blemishes.
Single Shadow: In 24 shades spanning every days, pops of colour + metallics not only are the Mecca Max single shadows fun, but at $8 a pop the price is certainly right too.
Pout Pop Lipstick: A beauty aficionado can never have too many lipsticks in their arsenal + these babies are matte without being drying + will also stay on through even the largest of snacking sessions. Colours range from nudes, to warm reds or if you’re like me + appreciate a bold lip - give Popstar Pink a whirl.
Created by friends of Sans Beast, Jess + Steph Dadon (also known as How Two Live), Twoobs make statement footwear that are comfy enough to strut around in all day + also are cruelty free. Their sandals + sneakers come in a variety of colours + finishes that will suit any style.
Socks + slides are definitely having a moment + I love that their sandals look great styled with a statement sock on those cooler days.
The girls are pretty damn impressive + the shoes are pretty damn cool but their kindness doesn’t just stop at animals. Recently they gifted 500 pairs of Twoobs to people who lost their job as a result of COVID-19. As someone who was a lucky winner, I will not forget this act of large scale generosity for a long time. Nor will my feet, who have never looked better since donning their Twoobs.

Let’s be real. One of the hardest parts of transitioning to a plant based lifestyle was always going to be missing out on my favourite sweet treat. Luckily there are brands like Pana Organic who create dairy + gluten free chocolate, so no matter what your schtick - you don’t have to miss out.
Pana are committed to working with only the highest quality of suppliers from all around the world when sourcing their ingredients which is evident in the rich, smooth taste of the finished product.
Pana’s range includes + is not limited to chocolate, ice-cream and spread. With over 15 flavours in their chocolate bar range, the hardest part really is choosing which one. My personal preference (today at least) is Strawberry and Pistachio.
This activewear + intimates label are a total game changer. Not only are they 100% vegan but they create their product using recycled fibres such as water bottles + fishing nets.
They also actively promote body + racial diversity, support a number of charities + aren’t afraid to speak up about social + political issues.
If all that do-gooding didn’t get you over the line, then get your hands on a pair of their Compressive High Rise Leggings- they are seriously well made + hug in all the right places.

OF COURSE, LET’S NOT FORGET MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE VEGAN LABEL SANS BEAST. HERE ARE MY TOP THREE PICKS FROM OUR LINE:
Petite Smuggler: The definition of versatile. Wear her as a belt bag, or a cross body bag. Pop her on with your activewear to run errands, or add a touch of trend to your going out look. This piece plays on the 90’s inspired bum bag trend which is huge right now whilst still staying true to the Sans Beast touches we know + love such as the branded webbing + vintage inspired handle.
Reader Satchel: The perfect everyday crossbody bag, the Reader is cleverly designed to fit all your everyday essentials without being bulky or too heavy. She comes in a range of colours + finishes but I opted for Fuschia Pink as I’m a fan of a bright, statement look.
Brief Liaison Backpack: The chicest backpack you ever did see, this one is perfect for those days when you need to carry a little bit more. I’m not generally a backpack girl but with noir croco + gold hardware finishes, this one is definitely not your standard backpack + one I couldn’t resist.
I hope I’ve served you with some inspiration for the next time you’re looking to treat yourself. It’s refreshing to know there are many businesses out there committed to doing the right thing by our planet + all its beings.
Happy online shopping beauties!
