Welcome to Wonderlust: our 13th collection of modern + functional handbags, designed with adventure in mind.

Series 13 heralds the expansion of our bio-based material offering, with 2 new styles in Italian Appleskin™ and the return of a favourite style in organic cactus ‘leather’ from Desserto.

We introduce a new silhouette, the Transit, inspired by classic 90s hobo bags + given a Sans Beast twist with mixed metals + a tapered strap. The Transit + it’s little sister the Transit Mini are constructed in Italian Appleskin™, a new generation leather alternative made from the waste of the apple juice industry. You can read more about this innovative material here.

Lapis blue + Pollen are sprinkled in for some new season colour, with our ‘Ox’ logo reimagined as a monogram print featuring both tones. Fun fact: our logo was designed by the clever folk at Self Titled who researched ancient alphabets in developing the inverted A design. It was a tremendously satisfying discovery to learn it also means ‘for all’ in the mathematical world – a fitting logo for a brand that values all animals, human + non-human alike, and one we’re excited to share in a new iteration this season.

It’s not all new, new, new with the launch of a fresh season. We design + produce just 2 collections a year, with a preference for signature styles in distinctive shapes that will be used + adored, year after year. You’ll still see your (and our) favourite bags return for Series 13, some with updated texture + hardware options.

As ever, a new collection + photographic campaign is the result of creative collaboration with like-minded humans. The fabulous Bobby Clark took our beautiful still life shots, while Charlie Ashfield was behind the lens for our Series 13 shoot on the city streets of our beloved Melbourne, with Eugenia from People Agency our face for the collection. The Sans Beast team provided creative direction, styling, HMU + all manner of bag carrying on a sweltering summer day.
